Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm

Location: Mainly at office location, but some travel required to see customers.

Responsibility

  • Develop an understanding of the customer’s business and ability to communicate needs to Orion team members
  • Establish multi-level contacts at the customer’s business
  • Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Occasional travel to visit customers in person
  • Increase sales through business growth; ask for new business with existing customers
  • Gain understanding of Orion’s business and the role of each department
  • Gain product knowledge and understanding of stocks, dies, art, scheduling, shipping, etc.
  • Apply knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients
  • Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Provide information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepare contracts and submit orders
  • Communicate price increases and lead time changes
  • See customer trends, such as order increases or decreases, and calling the customer to understand what is affecting their business
  • Forecast up and down trends in customer business
  • Collaborate effectively with Customer Service Representatives and the digital department on proof approvals
  • Collaborate with other Orion team members to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly
  • Involve Orion management as needed when issues arise with customers
  • Report and submit customer complaints to the Quality Supervisor
  • Periodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager
  • Recommend ways to improve service to customers
  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Comfortable cold calling and prospecting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field, OR
  • At least five years of related experience required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
